FM200 or HFC-227
is a recognized alternative to halon 1301 in the EPA’s Significant
New Alternative Policy (SNAP) in fixed fire extinguishing system.
Because FM200 does not contain chlorine or bromine, it has an ozone
depletion potential (ODP) of zero. FM200 is noncorrosive, electrically
nonconductive and residue free. It is ideally
suited for protection of high value assets such as in computer rooms,
telecommunication facilities, museums and document storage rooms.
FM200 is approved for use in normally occupied spaces.
ECARO-25 or FE-25 is another clean
agent fire extinguishing chemical developed by the Dupont Co. ECARO
like FM200 is a recognized alterative to halon 1301 and is
noncorrosive, electrically nonconductive, leaves no residue. Ecaro-25
provides the end-user a cost effective drop in solution to their
Halon replacement needs. Ecaro-25 can work
with your existing Halon pipe network. Just replace the nozzles
and containers to transform your Halon 1301 system to Ecaro-25.
Ecaro-25 is suited for total flood fire protection in normally occupied
spaces. Typical applications would be in computer
rooms, telecommunication facilities, clean rooms, industrial process
